My pride & joy

I won't go there...

My main resolution for 2011:

To not revisit the painful past,

Where all the sadness lies.

There's nothing worse than being sad about something you cannot change:

The condescending attitude of elders;the psychological damage wrought by neglect.

I've been through the lowest of the low, and also experienced some pretty high moments.

Taking them all in my stride, I remind myself that this is Life,

Where bitterness confluences with sweetness.

Achievements for 11th Feb 2011

It's Bowling Buddies again today.


Resolved to get at least 200 pinfalls and hit exactly that mark on the first attempt.

Consistent with my previous goal, I played 2 more times, each time determining to beat the previous score.

The second game was close, but turned up a 204,making the 3rd game another big challenge.

Turns out it wasn't challenging at all: after a 8-spare and a turkey, I got another 8-spare followed by another turkey and it was smooth-sailing to the end.

Eventually,the score turned out to be the highest I've ever gotten in months(not that I played that often).

Achievements for 10th Feb 2011

I took the 2nd step towards my own business when I set up a blog dedicated to the re-sale of the vintage perfumes I had accumulated from eBay since August 2010(about 100 in all).

[The 1st step was when I made a video advertising sampler packages of 1ml vials of classic vintage scents; I got one customer response only, but he ordered twice, allowing me to recoup about $60 of my capital as profits]

Achievements for 9th Feb 2011

With dismay, I was told by a pupil that Facebook will be banned in my country from March.

So I determined to play at least one FB online game every day till I can no longer do so.

Today, it was Bowling Buddies : I opened with a 185, and limited myself to just 2 more games,resolving to show a progression of higher scores.

The second game turned up a score of 216, which was the 2nd highest for the month,rendering the challenge of improving on that much tougher!

So I played a slower, more cautious game the 3rd time round, aiming squarely for the 1-3 pocket.

And the result?

Clove Oil!
