A special Birthday for a special guy.
6th/7th September 2005
Yesterday, I took a trip to Johor Bahru early in the morning, did some financial transactions, and proceeded to ensconce myself in Starbucks where I haven't gone to download stuff for almost three months.
Of course, I had enquired beforehand if their wireless was back in working order again, and was told it was alright the day before.
Although I was alone, I was also determined to make my birthday a special treat which no one else could give me: I bought four snow-skin mooncakes, a green one, a yellow, a white and a grey. So instead of one boring cream & sponge cake with candles, I had four colourful birthday cakes without candles(which are environmentally unfriendly anyway).
I took them to a Deluxe room booked in The Puteri Pan Pacific hotel and slowly savoured them while sipping tea and watching CNN. Before that, I had a nice soaking in the bathtub.
I even had a wireless signal for about forty minutes!
Then, later in the night, I worked at my laptop on my first storybook, and fell asleep watching an Alien documentary I had downloaded recently.
This morning I proceeded down to have a sumptious complimentary breakfast and then moved back to Starbucks to resume downloading.
Never had a birthday alone better in my life!
