Appreciation Journal :4th Apr 2020

'One of the most fundamental spiritual practices is to be able to separate the narrative from the situation. Let go of the narrative and just be present with this moment as it is. The amazing fact is that this moment is all there ever is.' : ET

'Once you begin to get to grips with inner work, then you're completely independent of worldly circumstances. As long as we're trying to sort them out or get rid of them or any of that, you're holding on to them because you're interested in them, you're fascinated by them...the more you try, the more you're holding on to them. That's the whole secret of meditation: you don't try to get rid of anything; you simply substitute something that's preferable. You gradually find what your heart is longing for, and that's what it's all about. There's a natural compass in your heart, whether it's the infinite love or infinite freedom will lead you home. Follow your hearts!  '  : JB

'You're NOT your mind, NOT your body. There is a witness somewhere inside of you who can go on looking at the mind, at the emotions, at the physiological reactions. That witness is you, capable of enjoying everything once you get centred there. Meditation is to get centred at your witness & then let Life and its games go on: enjoy, laugh, cry but whatever you do, do it totally with no shame, no guilt.Be present to the moment, and then see what happens! ' :O
