'Most (unconscious) humans are unaware that the consciousness is identifying itself with its projections, the state of identity with the body-mind conditioning or programming. A person is really a 'ghost' - it's not true; it's like a costume that consciousness wears  for the duration of this body. And this fear ( by the personalised, distorted mind as you identify with it) of discovering the purity of the self that prevents us from going beyond, into the real discovery of our timeless, eternal nature & being. It is out this belief that we are the conditioned self that fears come.' :M
