Ascension Journal 3rd Jan '22

 'Worrying is emotionally rehearsing the very things you don't want to experience. Mentally, we have to take dominion over our thinking, to become aware of those thoughts & begin to say other things to ourselves: "'It's going to be OK.I'm going to make it through this.I'm going to grow through this. I'm going to become a better individual because of this.Have your spiritual nature guiding your mental nature guiding your physical nature: so now you walking in the direction of your unfolding, without falling prey to the world of phenomena & all that is going on around. When you walk in the direction of your unfolding, fear becomes excitement & when you make contact, it becomes enthusiasm. Fear has been transmuted! ": MB

'When you are taking (inspired) action, the tendency of my mind to escape the Now into the past & the future is curtailed because all of my attention is gathered in my current experience, so there is absolutely no resistance in me & my innate happiness(nature of being) shines at that moment.That nature was always there in the background, but it's obscured by the activity of seeking & resisting that takes us into the past & the future.Relying on a person, object or an activity to gather your attention is called addiction. The activity eg smoking/drinking brings you to the now, so briefly you taste your true nature of peace that you wrongly attribute to the activity. When the effect wears off, the habit of seeking(taking us into the future) & resisting(taking us into the past) returns. We make the intention to face our current experience without resistance, to say "Yes" to whatever experience we are facing, to face every experience as if we had chosen it. You don't act in order to feel happy, but in order to express happiness. What we love is our own being, the dissolution of the felt sense of separation. We want to come back our happiness-seeking adventure in time & to be one with the moment, to be one with the impersonal functioning of the Universe, without any sense of separation rising up & separating ourselves out from the totality.'  :RS

'Your thoughts don't have any intrinsic value, they just belong to the world, they are creations of the ego & its energy fields, then there's no point to perfect it. First one stops creating stories, then one stops creating paragraphs, then one stops creating sentences, then phrases: you will see that languaging in the form of thought is coming from an energy in the mind that is constantly creating a stream. You watch thoughts going through consciousness like goldfish through a bowl. What you are is the water. An unenlightened person thinks: "I am the goldfish - I am my thoughts; I am this worry; I am this fear; I am this regret." Consciousness is what is witnessing these thoughts so thoughts are flowing through consciousness & consciousness itself is invisible & has no form so you begin to identify with the observer instead of that which is observed. You're constantly surrendering your thinking-ness. What the mind does is it tries to anticipate the next moment; it thinks it has to, in order to survive. So if you watch what your mind is really doing, you'll see it's always trying to get one up on the next instant(tenth of a second), so a person is never experiencing reality. What they're experiencing is the ego's interpretation of reality, like an audio monitor. Just as you tape a program on a tape, the monitor feeds into your ears - you hear what was just recorded a split-second ago but you're not hearing the program source - you're hearing what was just recorded. This is what the average person is experiencing : the monitored tape of the ego's interpretation of events.' :DH
