Appreciation Journal :23rd Apr 2020

' When meditating, don't get lost in your thoughts. Let your awareness be seeded in this tender warmth in your body. Hold whatever arises with that tender awareness & your meditation will continue to wake you up! Move from your head to your heart, feel in your body & hold kindly to deal with loneliness. If we think of ourselves as a separate self, we'll be living with all the cravings & fears that spiral around that self and we will not be happy.

True belonging is a spiritual experience, beyond any religion, beyond any philosophy.It's a deeply held experience of being part of reality, of the wholeness, of boundless love, of loving awareness.It can't be lost, but it can be forgotten & that's when we go into pain. The pathway to remember that connection: recognise it & let it cut more deep.' :TB

'If you trade fear, stress etc for an elevated emotion like love / wholeness / inspiration / gratitude, by converting from that sympathetic nervous system & teaching the body that it's safe in the present moment & beginning to activate elevated emotions, your immune system will strengthen by 50%.Once you activate the heart center / center of oneness or wholeness, this is when we're in a state of creation: we're seeing possibilities that we've never seen before. Now we're no longer victims to our environment. We're now coming up with solutions that cause us to respond in greater ways to our environment. When we react to stress, fear in the outer environment, chemical response is saying it's dangerous/threatening, those chemicals shuts down T-receptor defenses because it needs energy for the emergency, so we become more susceptible to foreign agents in our inner environment. So it's the chemical state of wholeness & gratitude that's saying it's safe enough to relax into the present moment. ' : DJD
