'Beauty means no hankering, no desire for anything...the beauty I speak of has endless eternity in it: it will never fade away. You have to enter this beauty by being beautiful. You have to give up all kinds of thoughts : then you are beautiful. Don't give rise to any thought: here is beauty!' : P
' To whatever degree we hold back the essence of our being, to that degree, we can't receive the essence of all being. Let it go, and you recognise directly, immediately the unburdened heart, the heart of innocence, the purity, the depth, the indefinable, uncontrollable truth of being...
Confront your story/history of victimisation & be willing to be annihilated by it is the same willingness to discover directly what can never be annihilated. Just this thread of a story, which is composed of thought, which is nothing at all. What power! This is the power of mind : the simulation of reality - a story about reality, a story of life. Are you willing to let your story go?There is a point where you just call it off. Yes, you have suffered at the hands of others; there has been horrible suffering done & you have been at both ends of it. Are you willing just to say "Enough!". No one can end it but you : you have the freedom to suffer OR to stop suffering - you consciously choose to suffer or consciously choose to let it go. The bondage here is being unaware of the choice to be free & the choice to suffer. There's supreme ultimate choice : now & forever, it's up to you.
To want anything to last forever is to overlook what is always here. The desire to have what you had because it doesn't feel good right now is suffering. It's the practice of desire because it takes some doing, takes some effort - it takes imaging, it takes thinking & thinking about what's been thought. It takes comparing, it takes the energy of attempting to grasp, which is just the other side of the energy of attempting to keep something away. And it's a practice. If you're practicing desire, you're suffering. If you're suffering, check it out : are you practicing desire. This is self-investigation - are you willing tell the truth? Because usually, the root of desire is some avoidance of you as you think yourself to be, dying.' : G
'Every moment is a birth & death, precious in its own right. Recognise that life is impermanent. Allow yourself, for that moment, to feel that fear/panic, but then allow yourself to relax into it. At first, it feels like pulling back & then it's more like, you just lean forward & then there's this immense feeling of it moving through you. The fear is gone & there's just this sense that things are moving, impermanent, there's nothing really to hold on to. You appreciate the beauty as well as the ugly, the complexity of life.' : PC
'Our life is not based on achievement, but on self-acceptance. Everything you do to become enough is based on a false premise & must backfire. You will become aware that you are enough. We're looking for more awareness of enoughness. Switch from the earning/struggling mentality to the owning/deserving mentality. Drop into your heart & know that I'm absolutely loved & worthy & deserving where I am, and so it is!' :AC
